SPIRITUAL, MORAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROVISION AT BEAMONT

Through our curriculum and other provision, we actively promote Sprirtual, Moral, Social and Cultural experiences and development, and ensure children gain a thorough understanding of the fundamental British Values. We will have a whole school focus on a value for a half-term. The order in which we focus on these may vary throughout each year. Focus will be given through dedicated assemblies and class acts of worship, reference on class and school display boards and in newsletters, and understanding developed through PSHE provision and other opportunities for the year group.

We have an annual calendar for the promotion of SMSC which is available in school. Links are made through this to key themes for the year and to our wider work, including the work we do to be a Rights Respecting School with UNICEF. We received our Recognition of Commitment during 2017-18.
