School Day & Times
We have made the deliberate decision to operate on staggered start times. The reason for this decision is so that we can create some order in drop offs and offer a calmer, safer start to the day for children.
We aim to respect our neighbours and try to control the amount of traffic and congestion, and limit parking issues.
NURSERY
The Nursery operates for one three-hour session per day:
8.45am - 11.45am
We also offer 30 hours childcare to those eligible; the times for those children are 8.45am - 2.45pm. Parents/carers have the option of paying a top-up amount daily to leave their child until 3.20pm.

START OF DAY PROCEDURES
The teachers will come outside to the assembly point for your year group and blow a whistle to indicate it is time to line-up. Children should remain fully supervised by their adult until that point. Class teachers will then take their classes inside.
Children will use their allocated coat peg to store their outdoor coats and their small bag if they have one. Their packed lunch box (if they have one) will be stored on trolleys ready to be taken to the dining hall later in the day.
HOMETIME
Children in all year groups up to and including Year 4 must be collected by a named adult at the end of the day. Parents and carers will wait near to their allocated collection point at the appropritate time. Please avoid standing in groups too close to where the children will be dismissed from so that the teacher can see everyone. Our staff will work as quickly as possible to dismiss children safely and to an appropriate adult. For this reason, we ask that you delay any one-to-one conversations you need to have with class teachers until all children have been dismissed.
As the children in Years 5 and 6 are becoming more independent, parents/ carers may choose to give them permission to walk home alone; permission must be sent in on email to the main office email address from a parent/ carer. The request can be made anytime throughout the year, and permissions can be changed in writing by the parent (via email). The Year 5 and 6 children will be escorted to the gate and will leave at their point in the line. Parents/ carers may choose to allow their child to bring a mobile 'phone into school if they are walking home alone.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS
At the end of an after-school club, teachers will follow the same procedures as above.
WASPS AFTER-SCHOOL CARE
If your child is being collected by Wasps for after-school childcare, they will wait in a designated space for the staff team to arrive and take them to Wasps setting. In a morning, the Wasps team will bring the children to school in time for the first group to enter class (8.40) and will wait in their designated area until their class enter school.
